Design and Analysis of Image Based Intelligent Automatic License Plate Detection Using Easy OCR

In this day and age, when technology is advancing at such a quick pace, there is a strong desire among people to live and travel in a more secure manner. Over the course of the past few years, there has been a surge in the figure of automobiles on the road. Keeping track of individual automobiles becomes an extremely challenging task as the automotive industry continues to see rapid and consistent development on a daily basis. In the course of this research, an automated vehicle monitoring platform was established. The platform makes use of roadside security cameras to keep an eye on speeding autos. Getting real-time footage from CCTV cameras installed in the background might be a difficult process. . The work that has been planned will consist of four primary stages. In the first stage, which entails translating the video footage into pictures, the car is recognised from each individual frame of the film. The subsequent step is the search for license plates on the automobiles that have been recognised. In the last phase, the characteristics of the number plates are recognised based on the number plates that have been observed. The Image AI library is used in the training method that has been presented in order to facilitate development. In order to test the efficiency of the model, photographs of license plates from the Indian state of Odisha are used. The proposed method has shown 98.5% precision and 87% accuracy when compared with similar work. And further it utilized minimum computational time of 8-12ms.
