An Analysis on High Speed Wireless Communications in IoT Environment

Home automation management system which involves various devices interconnected via wired and wireless technologies, is popular and also essential in day-to-day life. Data transmission among these devices is rapidly increasing the overhead, and hence network speed gets decreased. In this research, a home automation system framework that is built with LiFi communication has been proposed. In this study, the wireless communication technology known as Li-Fi is used with proper internetworking in order to establish a connection between various Internet of Things (IoT) devices and the local wireless network systems. The management framework for Li-Fi networks and the technology that underpins Li-Fi, are both extremely flexible, and the home automation system is able to accommodate both of these aspects. In specific, this study increases the operating network speed, balances the packet load, and improves energy efficiency with low latency. This framework connects various IoT devices and forms a network architecture, where the validation is carried out in terms of different performance metrics. The validation results confirm that the integration of IoT devices with Li-Fi technology offers a least latent communication.
