Improved Particle Swarm PV MPPT Algorithm Based on Tangent Weight Factors

Aiming at the multi-peak phenomenon of photovoltaic arrays in the case of sudden environmental changes, especially in localized shadows, this paper proposes a tangent-based improved weighting factor integrated into the computational architecture of the particle swarm algorithm. The algorithm nonlinearly optimizes the weight values in the particle swarm algorithm. Numerical simulations corroborate that the refined algorithm attains enhanced maximum power point tracking fidelity while maintaining commensurate precision, concomitant with accelerated convergence temporal characteristics.
