Study and Analysis of the Message Queue Operation Mechanism Based on the Open-Source RT-Thread Architecture

In an RTOS (Real-Time Operating System), if data needs to be transmitted between threads or between threads and interrupts, a message queue should be used as a means of synchronization and communication. This paper primarily introduces the basic knowledge of messages and their application scenarios, commonly used message queue functions, and programming examples of message queues. It also delves into an in-depth analysis of the structures frequently adopted by message queues, message storage functions, message retrieval functions, and the scheduling timing of message queues. Through practical programming exercises, this paper explains how message passing between threads can be achieved using message queues, providing insight into the working principles of message queues in RT-Thread. It offers significant reference value for practical applications.
