Study of Encryption Time with the use of AES 128-, 192- and 256-Bit Keys

The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a cryptographic algorithm used by a wide range of applications that require secure data storage and transmission. Among the applications of AES are the encryption of data on hard drives and USB sticks, the protection of sensitive data in databases, the assurance of secure communications, the encryption of data in databases, and the protection of virtual private networks. In addition to safeguarding passwords, this software encrypts files and hard drives. It is possible to select a key length of 128, 192, or 256 bits with an increase in key length corresponding to an increase in encryption rounds. This article investigates the encryption time for a given device using AES key sizes of 128, 192, and 256 bits. The simulation product's capabilities for measuring encryption time with different AES key sizes and the results are graphically presented.
