Investigation of Lifelong Learning Research Hotspots and Trends: A Bibliometric Analysis Based on CNKI Core Journals

As the information society evolves, lifelong learning has become a central focus in education, playing a pivotal role in advancing individual growth and enhancing national competitiveness. This study examines domestic lifelong learning research trends and hotspots through bibliometric and visualization analyses, leveraging 586 articles from CNKI core journals. Employing co-word analysis, clustering, and burst term analysis, the study identifies key research themes, emerging issues, and developmental trajectories. The findings reveal three major research directions: constructing lifelong learning systems and certification mechanisms, integrating technology with innovative education forms, and advancing social and policy innovation.
