Automated Detection of Heart Abnormalities Through ECG Processing using NI LabVIEW

cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are among the main causes of death worldwide, making early detection and diagnosis critical. In this project, we used NI LabVIEW to create an electrocardiogram (ECG) processing system to aid in the identification of heart problems. Our technology analyses heart activity efficiently by using pre-recorded ECG data files. We improved the quality of the ECG signals by using signal processing techniques such as filtering, noise reduction, and feature extraction. To detect potential anomalies, key components of the heartbeat, such as the P-wave, QRS complex, and T-wave, were analysed against predetermined thresholds. The results revealed great accuracy in diagnosing aberrant heart rhythms, demonstrating the system's use. This method could be useful for both clinical uses and personal health monitoring if it is further developed, therefore supporting early detection and prevention of heart diseases.
