Use of the LabVIEW Environment to Determine the Characteristics of Selected Industrial Temperature Sensors

This paper presents the construction of a test stand and a virtual measurement instrument developed in the LabVIEW environment, which allows the temperature characteristics of the sensor to be automatically determined as a function of the heating power for different values of the measurement current. The NI USB-6341 measurement module was used for the measurements. Example measurements were carried out on a representative group of resistive temperature sensors: four platinum metal, thin-film and wire sensors, in different cases, and two thermistor sensors: NTC and PTC.
