Hybrid renewable energy sources integrated shunt active power filter with adaptive fuzzy logic

The aim of this paper is to investigate the integration of a hybrid renewable energy system (HRES) with a shunt active power filter (SAPF) in order to enhance the quality of power & produce sufficient and clean generation. Maximum power point tracking and control of synchronous reference frame (SRF) theory based on adaptive fuzzy logic control are used by the system. The proposed method is carried out using direct power control techniques and SRF-based hysteresis control. A common DC-link used by a wind turbine system, a fuel cell, and a PV system that make this HRES system. An efficient system that can produce electricity for a long amount of time may be developed by combining fuel cells with sources of clean energy. Power quality issues such as harmonics, and voltage fluctuations affect both grid-connected and self-sustaining systems; weaker grids are more susceptible to these problems. The MATLAB/Simpower model of HRES-SAPF, results reveal that the technique works better in decreasing harmonics in various loading conditions. It can fast adapt to changing conditions and stabilize the DC-link voltage and lowers harmonics compared to traditional techniques.
