e-Prep: Implementing a Web-Based E-learning System for Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) Strand Students Focusing on Full Meal Preparations

This study explores the integration of the e-Prep web-based elearning system to supplement full meal preparation course module in the TVL strand at Siena College of Taytay. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing the Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ) to assess four key dimensions of usability: System Usefulness (SU), Information Quality (InfQ), Interface Quality (IntQ), and Overall Satisfaction (OS), along with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for functionality validation. The study involved 30 Grade 11 TVL students, selected via convenience sampling, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and reliability analysis with Cronbach’s Alpha (0.9648), confirming excellent internal consistency. The findings revealed high ratings across all CSUQ dimensions, highlighting the platform’s effectiveness in supplementing traditional teaching, providing intuitive and engaging features, and familiarizing students with virtual laboratory activities. Based on these results, recommendations include enhancing the teacher admin area for content editing to virtual laboratory activities, improving visual elements in virtual labs, optimizing the platform for mobile use, ensuring broader accessibility and user engagement. This study demonstrates the potential of e-learning tools like e-Prep to supplement technical-vocational education by offering a more interactive and inclusive learning experience.
