Research on the Design and Practice of a Large-Scale Online Smart Integrated Examination Platform

In response to the issues of traditional open education examination systems, such as the lack of data interoperability with other systems, incomplete digitization of business processes, difficulties in supporting large-scale examinations, resource wastage due to extensive paper-based tests, inflexible examination scheduling, inefficient manual grading, and cheating or impersonation during exams, the Smart Integrated Examination Platform emerged. This platform digitizes the entire process, from application and registration to examination implementation and score management, supporting millions of candidates to take exams simultaneously. Efforts have been made to build a digital question bank and expand the number of courses offered for online exams to cater to students' diverse learning needs. It provides convenient services such as self-scheduling exams, allowing students to take exams at their own pace and convenience, thus enhancing the flexibility in arranging their study and exam schedules. In terms of exam supervision, advanced technologies such as facial recognition, remote video surveillance, and mid-exam photo captures are employed to effectively curb irregularities such as impersonation and cheating. The implementation of the Smart Integrated Examination Platform not only enhances the scale and efficiency of examinations but also strengthens the supervision of exams, providing robust support for genuine candidates, genuine learning, and genuine exams.
