Transverse Versus Axially Laminated Rotor RSM: Key FEM Characterization

The paper presents a higher magnetic saliency - with open rotor flux barriers - solution for a four poles reluctance synchronous machine transversal lamination anisotropic rotor. The rotor structure is very close to the axially laminated rotor anisotropic rotor, but the manufacturing costs are estimated lower. Key FEM characterization and results for the two proposed solutions are compared.
