High Frequency Analysis of Dipole Antenna Array Using MATLAB

Antennas of various sizes and geometries are ubiquitous in modern technology, playing a crucial role in applications such as Wi-Fi routers, mobile communication, television broadcasting, global positioning systems (GPS), radar systems for air defense, and satellite communications. This study focuses on the design and analysis of dipole antennas at operating frequencies of 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz, as well as the development of dipole antenna arrays using MATLAB. The primary objective is to numerically model, analyze, and optimize dipole antennas for array configurations while evaluating their S-parameters and gain characteristics. Additionally, the impact of inter-element spacing and array configuration on the antennas' performance is systematically examined to assess their influence on key electromagnetic parameters. Even though there is not a specific application for the configurations considered, based on the space allocated for the array and the gain necessary to send data all of the structures can be used. Also, this paper has great educational value, making it easier for the students to see the effects of antenna positioning and to determine an optimum based on the needs, optimum which then could be practically constructed.
