Efficient Design and Control of a Multi-Floor Elevator System Using PLC

This research paper presents the design and implementation of a three-floor lift system utilizing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) technology. The primary objective is to develop a reliable and efficient lift system that integrates Delta PLC (DVP – 14SS2), switch mode power supply, relays, limit switches, a 12V DC motor, indicators, and an emergency stop button. This paper presents the design and implementation of a three-floor elevator system using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) technology, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and safety. Novel contributions include the integration of smart stop optimization and dynamic load-based stop control mechanisms. The system was rigorously tested through simulations and a prototype model, demonstrating improved accuracy, reduced energy consumption, and increased reliability compared to traditional systems. These advancements underscore the potential for further innovation in elevator technology, particularly in urban environments.
