Automatic Car Parking System using PLC with Voice Guidance

The high growth rate of the world population has added to the load of transport and thereby heavy traffic and acute shortage of parking space. Unsystematic manual parking in India causes wastage of fuel and time, damage to vehicles, and safety problems, which are further added to by the absence of streetlights. This project suggests an automatic car parking system using a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with voice instructions to address the issues listed above. The system integrates sensors, actuators, and user interfaces with a PLC to provide real-time control and monitoring of parking lots. Furthermore, a voice instruction module leads the drivers step by step, thereby enabling a smooth parking process. The system has been shown to improve parking operations by reducing parking time, maximizing parking capacity, and enhancing driver convenience and satisfaction. The primary technical benefits include automation of slot management, efficient vehicle handling by integration of sensors, and real-time driver guidance through voice directions. This innovative solution efficiently handles parking inefficiencies and enhances security, thus providing a strong and scalable solution to current parking challenges.
