Power System Damage Assessment Considering Cascading Failures under E1 HEMP

The HEMP E1 environment is wide-covering and destructive, which will have a strategic and global impact on the grid infrastructure, and is prone to cause widespread multilevel cascading failures. In this paper, we analyze the equipment failure mechanism by combining the existing research, and further penetrate into the state analysis of the plant station, establishing a cascading failures model of Equipment-Station-System level. Finally, the impact of E1 HEMP is analyzed through an open case. The results show that the HEMP E1 environment poses a serious threat to the grid security.
