A Modular, Remotely-Controlled, Multi-Parameter Weather Station for Precision Agriculture

Effective weather monitoring is crucial for precision agriculture, particularly in mitigating the impact of dust storms on crop yields and farm management. Existing monitoring solutions often struggle with cost, accessibility, and accuracy. This paper introduces a novel, modular, low-cost sensing system tailored to agricultural contexts, combining off-the-shelf components and advanced sensors for enhanced environmental monitoring. The overall sensor network features a high-end node complemented by low-cost nodes, ensuring scalability and affordability. Precise sensor calibration addresses accuracy concerns, offering a cost-effective solution for comprehensive weather monitoring in precision agriculture.
