Smart Autonomous Vacuum Cleaner Robot: A Review

Automation and Machine Interaction (AMI) are essential in today's modern world. Imagination is now more vital than knowledge. Vacuum cleaners, while effective, nevertheless require human intervention to perform properly. To address these difficulties, various autonomous cleaning robots capable of providing cleanliness and sanitation without human intervention were introduced. The key characteristics of such robots are air filtering, obstacle avoidance, image processing for identifying dark patches, and self-docking capabilities. The bots may be operated remotely using IOT applications or mobile phones, allowing for ON/OFF and blower speed control. When the robot's battery potential falls below a particular threshold, it can automatically travel to the charging station. It can also be sent to a specified spot for cleaning via mobile phone GPS. All of these elements combined prove to be a comprehensive solution to autonomy. This paper reviews the automated cleaning solutions that consider the design of autonomous robotic cleaner agents equipped with Internet technology (IoT). A comparative study related to intelligent cleaning robots, highlighting the various technologies implemented in each is presented in this paper.
