Segmented Rail Flexible Switching Topology and Fast Control Method in Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer System

In order to improve system efficiency and reduce magnetic leakage, segmented transmitter rails are commonly used in Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer (DWPT) systems, but they also pose a challenge to the power distribution method, switching topology and control method of the transmitter rails. To address the problems of slow switching speed and large voltage spikes in the segmented transmitter rail, a flexible switching topology and its fast control method are proposed in this paper. Through theoretical analysis, simulation and experimental verification, the results show that the flexible switching topology not only improves the switching speed of the transmitter rail from milliseconds to microseconds, but also effectively suppresses the voltage spike.
