Cyber Security: A Review on Mobile Application Vulnerabilities in Wireless Mobile Data Exchange

The proliferation of smartphones has transformed mobile devices into versatile tools that serve as an essential component of modern communication and computing. However, alongside the convenience and accessibility afforded by mobile applications and wireless data exchange, there are significant security concerns. This paper examines the vulnerabilities inherent in mobile data exchange, exploring threats like interception, eavesdropping, malware attacks, and weak authentication mechanisms.Drawing upon recent research and industry insights, we analyze the challenges posed by these vulnerabilities and propose a comprehensive mitigation strategy.Our proposed approach encompasses encryption, authentication mechanisms, secure communication protocols, regular security updates, user education, mobile device management, data loss prevention, endpoint security, and incident response planning. By integrating these components into a cohesive strategy, organizations can enhance the security of mobile data exchange, mitigate risks, and safeguard sensitive information in the dynamic landscape of mobile technology.
