Investigation of the Influence of Manufacturing Technologies for Epoxy-Based Composite Materials on their Electrodynamic Properties

This work is devoted to the study of the influence of manufacturing technologies of composite materials based on epoxy resin on their electrodynamic properties. The work considers the manufacture of a composite based on epoxy resin with the addition of iron or titanium nanopowder. The effect of air removal from newly poured samples under low vacuum on the effective permittivity of the composite was also studied. The results showed that the effect of air removal is insignificant and this operation can be omitted when manufacturing the composite. Composite materials based on epoxy resin are a practical technology in the development of new shielding coatings and components that have the ability to effectively absorb and scatter electromagnetic radiation. Composite samples were studied using the transmission line method with TRL calibration, and the effective permittivity value was obtained using the Nicolson-Ross-Weir mathematical apparatus. Today, it is especially important to create new types of polymer composites that provide a decrease in the weight of products while increasing the strength and shielding efficiency.
