Security in Content Delivery Networks (CDNs): A Literature Review

Content Delivery Networks are critical in ensuring fast and reliable web content delivery. However, their effectiveness relies heavily on robust security measures to defend against threats like distributed denial of service attacks, data breaches, amplification attacks, and unauthorized access. This paper examines content delivery networks' security challenges and comprehensively reviews existing research. The study provides valuable insights by categorizing threats into internal and external risks, exploring available technologies, and analyzing current attack types. It aims to pave the way for developing innovative security solutions and identifying future research opportunities to strengthen Content Delivery Networks resilience.
