Design and Research on Intelligent Spraying Robot and Laser Descaling System for Surface Treatment of Welded Parts

This paper presents the design of an intelligent robot for the surface treatment of weldments, integrating surface pretreatment and spraying functions to address the inefficiencies and quality control issues of current methods. The robot features a rotary clamping unit and a robotic cell equipped with a spraying unit that includes multi-stage roller brushes and nozzle rows. This design allows the system to adapt to weldments of various shapes and sizes, ensuring a uniform coating by removing excess paint and cleaning and flattening the openings. Additionally, the intelligent laser cleaning module uses laser technology for surface pretreatment, removing corrosion and oxidation layers to enhance coating adhesion. Automated operation is achieved through PLC control, while an HMI interface is used for parameter setting and monitoring. This innovative approach significantly improves the efficiency and quality of weldment surface treatment and spraying, offering a new solution for the automation of weldment production.
