Ethereal Trace:AI Powered Person Finder

Based on the Django framework, the paper describes the creation of a missing person’s case management application that offered a web-based tool for registering, searching, and identifying cases. Users can upload photos, make new cases, and use image matching to look for missing people. The backend incorporates image handling and matching features using Python's face-recognition library. This system's objectives include managing missing person data, conducting an image-based search of all available data in real-time, and displaying likely matches. Its user-friendly interface makes it simple for the community and law enforcement agencies to access and retrieve information. It worked well because it was tested in a controlled setting and matched across a broad range of situations. We intend to use machine learning algorithms in the future to better identify older or low-quality images. By implementing the above solution, the enforcement process can be partially shortened, which may facilitate the search for missing persons.
