Development Of Online Exam Management System: A Secure and Efficient Approach

The emergence of distance education has posed the question of an efficient, secure, and robust system of examination. An Online Exam Management System is proposed in this article for administering online exams to students, by teachers, and managed by an administrator. Full-screen mode and detection of suspicious access are the security features. Scheduling and management of exams can be managed using Google Sheets by teachers, and access control by administrators. The system is also in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), e.g., Goal 4 (Quality Education) in ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education, and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) utilizing technology for improving assessment in education. System architecture, functionality, security features, and its contribution towards e-assessments have been elaborated in this article.
