New Features in Feko Related to Wireless Applications

This paper describes some of the latest enhancements in the 2025 version of the commercial electromagnetic software Altair Feko, specifically in the WinProp and WRAP components. The new features for wireless applications include beam steering in 5G networks, consideration of the handover process for the cell assignment, option to evaluate the performance of MIMO radar systems, implementation of ITU-R propagation models, improved co-site interference analysis workflow between Feko and WRAP, typical station calculations, support for alternate units and simultaneous multi-user radio spectrum management.
