IoT Enabled Automatic Planting Robot for Smart Environment

The goal of our article is to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automated tree-planting robot that is adaptable to various tree plantation tasks, while also being dependable and efficient—key requirements for our initiative. The primary aim is to reduce the human labor needed for tree planting. With people’s busy schedules today, there is little time left to dedicate to planting trees, leading to a potential decline in the number of trees in the future. To address this, we conceived the idea of creating a tree-planting robot through IoT that can help prevent this decline. The robot is designed to plant a wide variety of saplings and has been engineered with cost-effectiveness in mind, making it accessible to everyone. Additionally, its controls have been simplified to ensure ease of use for all users.
