American Sign Language (ASL) Hand Sign Detection on Raspberry Pi Using Deep Learning Techniques

To beat the limitation of customary specialized techniques for hard-of-hearing and deaf people, this study investigates the improvement of a constant American gesture-based communication (ASL) hand sign discovery model on a Raspberry Pi stage. Utilizing the consolidated force of Tensor Flow's profound learning capacities and Media Pipe's hand landmarking structure, the framework provides an exact, open, and savvy answer for communication by signing an acknowledgment. Based on a custom dataset called ASL signs, a profound learning model was prepared to distinguish explicit signals continuously using camera input. By coordinating Media Pipe's productive hand present location and component extraction, the framework further upgrades the acknowledgment exactness and works with an ongoing understanding of hand developments. Using the reduced and convenient Raspberry Pi 3 B +, the model offers a promptly deployable arrangement with negligible asset requests, making it possibly relevant in different conditions, including homerooms, restoration focuses, and surprisingly, individual settings. Data acquisition and model training to guarantee robust and diverse sign representation within the system, seamless integration of Media Pipe for real-time hand landmarking and sign identification on the Raspberry Pi platform, and performance evaluation to evaluate the prototype's accuracy, resource efficiency, and potential limitations are the three main areas of focus of this study.
