Wide-range speed synchronization control for dual PMSM system

The wide-range speed control and speed synchronization control of dual permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) system has found extensive applications in the manufacturing industry. To address the limitations of current synchronization algorithms, such as their complex and redundant structures, and to achieve wide-range speed regulation and enhance the synchronization performance, this paper proposes an innovative wide-range speed synchronization control strategy. Firstly, a compensation loop is incorporated at the input of the q-axis voltage. Drawing on the concept of intermotor coupling effects and advanced pre-compensation control, combined with model predictive control (MPC) theory, a speed collaborative pre-compensation controller is designed to realize the pre-compensation function. In addition, to achieve wide-range speed regulation, a voltage feedback adjustment method with anti-integral windup is implemented above the base speed to facilitate flux-weakening control. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed control strategy can achieve wide-range speed regulation, and effectively improves the synchronization performance of the dual PMSM system. Furthermore, the strategy features a simple structure, thus meeting the practical industrial requirements of multiple scenarios.
