Minimizing Air Pollution from Electric Vehicles

First scientific paper from the same authors presented at this conference reveals the issue of air pollution stemming from electric vehicles and highlights three advanced techniques for capturing airborne tire particles using electrostatic charged electrodes. Regrettably, it is obvious that none of these three advanced techniques is resistant to the hindrances posed by rain, snow, ice, and mud, which entirely hinder their functionality by clogging dust collecting structures. This article discusses three different strategies using small capacity battery with additional energy sources, such as: a wireless charger, an internal combustion engine or hydrogen fuel cells, providing total vehicle weight reduction in comparison with high capacity battery powered electric vehicles, aimed at alleviating air pollution caused by tire wear in addition to addressing the 'range anxiety' dilemma, completely avoiding shortcomings of aforementioned three advanced techniques.
