A Review of Position Detection Techniques for Linear Servo Motors Based on Machine Vision

Linear servo motors play a pivotal role in industrial automation and robotic systems, where position measurement accuracy directly determines motor control precision. With the increasing requirement of miniaturization and non-contact sensors, the motor position detection method based on machine vision is gradually showing its possibility of application in the field of motor position measurement because of its advantages of simple structure, non-contact, and high accuracy. In this paper, we summarize the related literature on machine vision and motor position detection and list different position detection algorithms and motor position detection methods. Then we make a prospect for the development of machine vision in the field of motor position detection.
