The Research and Design of a Intelligent Tour Guide Car for Micro-Scenarios

In the era of booming cultural tourism, the visiting experiences in micro-scenarios such as museums, art galleries, and science and technology museums have become the focus. Research shows that interactivity is one of the key factors in enhancing tourists' satisfaction. However, traditional tour guide devices rely solely on simple voice explanations, with limited content and poor interactivity, making it difficult to meet the increasingly diverse needs of tourists. At the same time, although existing literature demonstrates the potential of intelligent robots in cultural scenarios, they have limitations in interaction forms and do not propose specific solutions for improving explanation content and interaction forms. This paper deeply explores and successfully realizes a kind of micro-scenario tour guide vehicle. In response to the problems of monotonous explanation content and lack of interactive forms, a solution that integrates point-based explanation and advanced human-computer interaction functions is proposed. A single-line lidar is used to achieve high-precision positioning, and multimedia explanations are completed by combining voice broadcasting and projectors. The Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) sound source positioning algorithm and the dynamic time warping algorithm are employed to improve interaction accuracy and fluency. This design optimizes the tour guide service mode, provides tourists with an immersive experience, and offers new ideas for the intelligent development of micro-scenario tour guide equipment.
