Design of Evacuated Multilayer Insulation System for Refrigerant Accumulator

To reduce cooling loss and achieve energy conservation and emission reduction purposes, an evacuated multilayer insulation system for R23 refrigerant accumulator was designed. By using the kinetic theory and other related theories, we analyzed and determined the insulated space conditions and dimensions. By using ANSYS to mechanical analysis of the inner and outer containers of the refrigerant accumulator, the material has been determined. By analyzing the stress of the inner container, the support scheme has been determined. By utilizing the relevant empirical formulas, theoretical calculation of evacuated multilayer insulation of refrigerant accumulator was done. Comparing the calculated results, the evacuated multilayer insulation system is superior to the insulation piled-up in terms of the insulation performance, space occupation, duration of service, future economy, etc.. It fully reflected the practical significance of designing the evacuated multilayer insulation systems for refrigerant accumulator and a very good application prospect. Practical and feasible technical measures have been proposed in terms of manufacturing process, installation, and maintenance for the multi-directional heat transfer and vacuum problems of the evacuated multilayer insulation material.
