Research on the EMC Test Method for the Performance of ABS-Based Automotive Antilock Braking System

With the increasing emphasis on automotive active safety, the installation rate of Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS) in vehicles continues to rise. National regulations, such as GB 12676–2014 “Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Braking Systems of Commercial Vehicles and Trailers”, have established mandatory performance certification standards. This paper proposes a novel ABS triggering method under electromagnetic interference (EMI) environments through innovative testing procedures. This paper proposes an ABS activation method under electromagnetic interference conditions. The experimental setup involves adjusting the front wheel load of the test vehicle using hydraulic jacks and controlling the brake pedal depth via a driving robot. Real-time monitoring of speed variations across four wheels is achieved using a chassis dynamometer in an electromagnetic anechoic chamber. This approach features a simple and easily reproducible test configuration, where wheel load and rotation speed are directly monitored by the dynamometer's built-in force sensors. The system automatically generates engineering documentation containing test parameters and measurement data, facilitating cross-comparison and validation of repeated trials by third-party testing institutions.
