Highly Sensitive and Selective COF-316-Based Micro Quartz Tuning Fork Sensor for Ammonia Detection

In this work, we develop a COF-based piezoelectric sensor utilizing a micro quartz tuning fork (MQTF) as a transducer and COF-316 as the chemical receptor for highly sensitive and selective ammonia detection. The sensor operates by measuring the resonance frequency shift induced by ammonia adsorption, achieving ppm-level detection with minimal interference from other gases. The strong chemisorptive interaction between ammonia and COF-316 enhances sensitivity and stability. This study provides a new sensing strategy for real-time ammonia monitoring, with potential applications in environmental surveillance, industrial safety, air quality control, and health care.
