Study on the Flow Field Characteristics of Turbine Blades of Roof-Type Wind Turbines with Different Shapes of Wind Aggregation

In this paper, the aerodynamic performance of the turbine blade of a wind turbine is systematically investigated based on the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method. Three typical blade shapes, namely, rectangular, fan-shaped and triangular, are modeled by SolidWorks and numerically simulated by Fluent software, and the flow characteristics and vortex distribution of the blades are analyzed at wind speeds of 5 m/s and 8 m/s. The results show that the triangular blade exhibits the best aerodynamic performance at high speeds, which is the best performance of the triangular blade. The results show that the triangular blade shows optimal aerodynamic stability at high speeds, with a smooth velocity gradient at the tip and significantly reduced flow separation; the fan blade has balanced performance and uniform negative vortex distribution at medium wind speeds; and the rectangular blade has a more pronounced flow separation at the root of the blade at low wind speeds, which is improved at high speeds, but the stability is weaker than that of the two previous blades. The results provide a theoretical basis for the design of wind turbine blades, verify the advantages of triangular blades in energy conversion efficiency and flow stability, and have important reference value for optimizing the performance of wind energy equipment.
