A Continuous Improvement Framework To Enhance Supply Chain Efficiency In Third Party Logistics Companies

The article provides a comprehensive overview of supply chain optimization techniques and their impact on business performance and efficiency. It proposes an enhancement framework for supply chain processes using Six Sigma principles. The utilized framework, called SPIN (Simple Process Improvement Needed), essentially serves as a model for optimizing supply chain operations within the process. Our approach to supply chain optimization involves systematic data analysis and performance measurement with a focus on implementing Lean tools and techniques as well as problem-solving methods of Lean Six Sigma. This study utilizes the SPIN framework to examine the implementation and execution of continuous improvement processes in the supply chain of a Third-Party Logistics and fulfillment services company. Although the benefits of continuous improvement are widely acknowledged, there is less understanding about its specific mechanisms for driving performance. This study addresses this gap by analyzing the mediating role of supply chain integration in relation to continuous improvement's impact on performance. The results show significant improvements in supply chain efficiency, with a 10% reduction in order processing time, a 25% decrease in average delivery time, and cost savings of 5%. This paper presents valuable insights for professionals seeking to optimize their supply chains through continuous improvement. This framework and optimization model provide practical guidance for implementing continuous improvement initiatives and achieving sustainable performance enhancements.
