Radar System for Automatic Tracking of Uavs

Currently, automated robots and unmanned vehicles are widely used. They perform various tasks without direct human involvement. This criterion increases the efficiency of production processes, but also requires increased reliability and control over correct operation. In this regard, one of the tasks is to develop automated systems for monitoring the operation of drones. In this paper, it is proposed to use a millimeter radar and an automatic target tracking system and take measures if the target violates the boundaries of space. For this purpose, a horn antenna was calculated in the Ka band, and an algorithm was written for FPGA for automated target tracking. Secondary processing based on the upgraded Kalman filter is also provided. Laboratory tests have shown the possibility of mass integration of the system into smart city devices, as the resulting module is economically cost-effective. At the same time, technological efficiency and prospects are given to automated systems based on an intelligent antenna system based on ferrites or semiconductor technologies. Thus, the developed device will be effective until the mass integration of intelligent antennas into smart city systems.
