Smart Gloves for Hand Injury Prevention in Manufacturing Plants Using IoT Sensors and One-Class SVM Integration

Manufacturing plants require preventative measures to reduce hand injuries, a serious occupational danger. This research proposes a new approach to this problem by integrating a One-Class Support Vector Machine (SVM) with Internet of Things (IoT) sensors into smart gloves. The smart gloves monitor the grip strength, the angle of the fingers, and any dangers in the immediate surroundings. To detect potentially harmful trends in the data gathered from these sensors, a method called one-Class SVM is used. The technology notifies the worker and any other necessary individuals immediately upon detection, allowing them to respond quickly and effectively to any possible threats. This method improves workplace safety and efficiency by combining IoT sensor technology with machine learning algorithms. It allows manufacturing companies to manage the hazards of hand injuries proactively. The proposed technique might help make industrial workplaces safer and more efficient by reducing the number of accidents sustained by workers' hands.
