Revolutionizing CPR Training: An Arduino-Powered Automated Resuscitation Model

To provide efficient and prompt CPR treatment during medical emergencies, this research paper describes the development of an Arduino based CPR model. The created automated CPR model uses Arduino microcontroller board to control the breathing techniques and compressions to the chest of the patient, while monitoring the ventilation and the patient's pulse. The CPR model is complete with design principles and methodology of hardware configuration, the Arduino code, the integration, test, safety concerns, UI design, documentation, and the deployment and maintenance. The CPR model delivers reliable, dependable and flexible standard CPR methods by combining hardware and software devices and sensors in a systematic way. A safe environment for patient and users is a matter of importance therefore the system is developed with different safety mechanism components that prevent damage to patient and users. Medical device applications usually follow certain rules and standards. The CPR training device or simulation also should implement user friendly UI to engage the user and give feedback. The system provides affordable and practical CPR solution that can be deployed and used in training hospitals, medical facilities and educational institutions. The CPR model that is automated to provide standard CPR treatment during emergency medical situation is a valuable tool to train CPR students strengthening emergency response abilities and saving a lot of lives when the situation is dire. Potential improvement of a system, such as adaptive feedback, real-time data stream or integration with current medical technology can be developed and researched further.
