The Acoustic Characterization of Plosive [k] Alternation in Modern Uyghur Spoken Language

This paper analyzes the alternation phenomenon of plosive [k] in spoken Uyghur from the perspective of experimental phonetics, and presents statistics and analysis of acoustic parameters such as formants, duration, tone intensity, voice onset time, and glottalized aperture segment (GAP) of plosive [k] to derive the acoustic characteristics of Uyghur plosive [k] in the process of alternating with fricative [ɕ] after weakening and with voiced consonant [g] after vocalization. The study found that, there will be varying degrees of energy accumulation from low to high frequency, i.e., "straight lines" when the plosive [k] is pronounced, and that there will be a disorderly grain characteristics when the fricative [ɕ] is weakened, After vocalization of the plosive [k], which alternates with the voiced consonant [g], there will be a distinct voiced bar below the time domain waveform graph, while the plosive [k] is not distinct, and there are also significant differences in the GAP, the VOT, intensity of the tone, the duration, and the formants.
