Exploration and Practice of Competency-Based Digital Transformation in Maritime Education : Intelligent navigation and intelligent ship micro-specialty

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and big data, the digital transformation of education has become an inevitable choice for college education reform. The core concept of digital transformation of education is people-oriented and the cultivation of talents. Wisdom is to know what to do next, knowledge is to be clear about how to do it, and competency is to guide how to do it. Knowledge is the foundation of competency, and wisdom is given by competency, only with appropriate knowledge can we master competency, and mastering adapted competency is a prerequisite to wisdom^[1].In the era of digital transformation, competency comes first and knowledge is complementary; this paper studies the core value and key elements of competency-based, and puts forward the practice strategy of micro-specialty. The team has constructed the training mode of ' interdisciplinary, collaborative education and demand-oriented ' micro-specialty. The micro-specialty of ' intelligent navigation and intelligent ship ' has been set up for the first time in China. It has completed the online course on Treenity wisdom platform and the first batch of enrollment operation, and achieved good results. In the future, we will continue to improve the construction from the perspectives of deepening interdisciplinary, curriculum evaluation, and curriculum ideological and political education, promote the digital transformation of maritime education, and cultivate compound application-oriented maritime professionals.
