An Empirical Study on the Impact of Artificial Intelligence Assisted Vocational English Teaching on Students' Intercultural Communication Skills

With the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, its application in the field of education is becoming increasingly widespread, especially in language learning and classroom teaching, where it has achieved significant results. AI assisted English teaching is gradually becoming popular in vocational colleges, aiming to enhance students' language proficiency and intercultural communication skills (ICS) through personalized learning and intelligent feedback. This teaching model can provide tailored learning content based on students' different needs and help them better grasp language and cultural knowledge through real-time feedback, optimizing teaching effectiveness while reducing teachers' workload. This article explores the impact of AI assisted teaching on vocational students’ ICS through quantitative analysis. The results show that AI technology plays a vital role in enhancing students' perception of cultural differences, cultural inclusiveness, intercultural confidence, and problem-solving abilities.
