The Design of a Lightweight AI Robot for Logistics Handling

In recent years, intelligent logistics handling robots have been widely used. This paper proposes a lightweight AI logistics handling robot design. The Mecanum wheel is equipped with a multi-axis robot arm to form a lightweight structure. NXP i.MX RT1064 is used as the main control chip, and OpenART is used for target identification, which can accurately locate and carry target information. In order to improve the accuracy of sensor fusion attitude solution, A fusion algorithm of high order linear complementary filter and extended Kalman filter is proposed. In addition, the improved Sobel algorithm is applied to the location detection of target objects, thus improving the logistics handling efficiency. The experimental results show that the recognition accuracy reaches 98%, the positioning accuracy reaches 96%, and the grasping success rate of the robot arm is greater than 95%. The system follows the industrial design standard, works stably, and provides an effective solution for intelligent logistics sorting.
