Design of the Complex Electro-Pneumatic Educational Workplace from FESTO Components Verifying Pick & Place Purposes

Electro-pneumatic devices are standard for implementing complex application tasks, thus proving their applicability through numerous practical solutions in Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and universities. There are several reasons for this, from economics to implementation in an actual process. Therefore, it is also the intention of this paper to develop a suitable educational model based on electro-pneumatics in such a way as to transform the theoretical knowledge into a realistic functional example. Using and combining 3D software products and in combination with the design of a suitable activity based on the principle of "Pick" & "Place", we want to arrive at the creation of a handling system that demonstrates the complexity and use of sensing technology and pneumatics at the same time. The paper concludes by examining different types of inspection tasks, considering their complexity, complexity, and knowledge.
