A Hardware and Software Package Used to Study Semiconductor Devices by Remote Control

This paper presents in detail the hardware and software structure, in the form of a laboratory stand, for interactive training in the fields related to using electronic devices. The virtual instrument, built in LabVIEW graphical language, is the basis of that application in terms of input signals generation, output signals acquisition, data processing, and results display in a form as explicit and easy to understand. The entire system was created using programable equipment, like programmable power supplies to generate the input stimulus, and programmable devices for signal commutation and data acquisition equipment to receive the response signals. All the commands needed to control the experiment are available via the front panel of the virtual instrument. This makes it possible to access them via the desktop, which makes remote control possible through remote control applications. The application, representing the experiment setup and the virtual instrument, is exemplified by the remote control of the static regime study for semiconductor devices.
