Developing an IoT-based Motorcycle Safety and Monitoring System: An Efficient Solution

People often choose motorcycles over other forms of transportation due to their advantages. Conversely, this vehicle poses the highest level of risk, as excessive speed or driving under the influence could lead to an accident. In densely populated countries, the frequency of everyday traffic accidents, including bicycle accidents, is increasing. This research proposes an efficient and user-friendly IoT solution to effectively monitor motorcycle conditions and ensure rider safety and security. In real time, various sensors monitor and control riders' current positions, activity, critical angles, sobriety, and fire detection, alerting them when necessary. In the event of an accident, hijacking, or assault, the guardian can easily receive notifications and snaps of the current locations through a mobile application in real-time. Several real-time experiments have been carried out in various locations using a wide variety of sensors and components. This research aims to establish a user-friendly system for both guardians and riders while also addressing motorcycle safety and monitoring issues, which makes this research work unique.
