Energy-Efficient Home Automation Through Motion Detection, Ultrasonic Sensing and Voice Control

The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized home automation, offering higher levels of functionality. This paper presents a smart home automation system that uses different IoT technologies, including ultrasonic distance sensor (HC-SR04), passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor (HC-SR501), ESP32 microcontroller, and voice control interfaces through Sinric Pro, Google Home, and Google Assistant. Our system contributes to advancements in energy efficiency through sensor integration. The system also includes remote device control, automated power supply, and voice-activated operations. This research contributes to the field of home automation by addressing challenges such as sensor integration and energy efficiency, while paving the way for future developments.
