Development of Intelligent Monitoring Device for High-Voltage Cable Terminals of High-Speed Trains

A system design scheme for intelligent monitoring of high-voltage cable terminals in high-speed trains is proposed, which combines single-chip microcontrollers, high-frequency current sensors, strain gauges, temperature sensors, LCD displays, and serial communication, to address the problem that partial discharge, stress distribution, and operating temperature detection of high-voltage cable terminals in high-speed trains are mainly based on offline testing, making it difficult to achieve real-time monitoring under operating conditions. Explained the working principle of the system, designed the hardware schematic and software flowchart of the system, and conducted experimental verification. The actual operation effect shows that the intelligent monitoring device for high-voltage cable terminals of high-speed trains designed in this article can comprehensively detect partial discharge, stress distribution, and operating temperature of cable terminals in real time online, providing support for insulation detection and fault location of cable terminals. It has the characteristics of miniaturization, portability, good portability, and high efficiency, and meets the standards and requirements of on-site cable terminal monitoring.
