Electronic Circuit Design for an Autonomous Blimp Using Raspberry Pi Zero 2W

This paper presents the electronic design of an autonomous lighter-than-air blimp, featuring a lightweight and low-power architecture. The system is built around a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, integrated with vision-based navigation and GPS modules for autonomous operation. The propulsion system incorporates N20 micro gear-box motors for precise control and stability. A detailed schematic of the electronic connections, along with a comprehensive list of component weights, is provided for implementation reference. This design serves as a foundation for integrating autonomous mapping technology such as Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), enabling applications in UAV-based air quality monitoring and precision agriculture. These applications are explored as potential directions for future work.
